What you will see on this site is a broad and unique view of terror in our times. We look back into our evolutionary origins, how we came to have the potential for violence, and the problems we all face regardless of economic, political, or religious persuasion. Many of the answers to violence are already out there, but the issues are multiple and complex in their interactions. Whether we like it or not, there is no single recipe, no Robert's Rules of Order to ensure peaceful living. Murphy's Law reigns supreme.
Nevertheless, there are numerous trends and signposts from history and present times to be read and learned from. There is every reason for Hope. This is true in spite of the fact that our leader has not only isolated himself, but he has isolated America from the world. Imperialism dies hard.
In due course, our goal on this site is to provide means for individuals of different cultures and languages to converse in real time with on-line translation. Machine translation has come a long way but is not yet ready to enable this technology. Meanwhile, a high incidence of spam in our comment boxes requires that visitors wishing to comment register first. That takes just a minute and need only be done once.
